Steve is EVP, Executive Creative Director at Deutsch New York. He oversees digital at the agency.

Prior he was the ECD of Tribal DDB New York for more than four years, and served on DDB’s Global Creative Council.

Under Steve’s leadership, Tribal New York more than tripled in size, won most every creative award, and major new business from AMP Energy (Pepsi), Guinness, SyFy (NBC Universal), Diageo, EarthLink, Clean & Clear, Ciba Vision, Sallie Mae, and others.

Prior to Tribal, Steve was SVP/Executive Creative Director of McCann Worldgroup’s MRM Worldwide; he ran Modem Media’s New York and San Francisco creative departments; and he was the founding creative director of Strategic Interactive Group in Boston, the interactive agency that became Digitas.

He and his work have been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Business Week, USA Today, the usual marketing trades, as well as on CNBC, and, well, Geraldo Rivera. Go figure.

Steve has received honors from Cannes, One Show, D&AD, London International Advertising awards, the FWA, Effies, Clios, The Webby’s, Communication Arts, Addy, and The New York Festivals.

He served on the Cannes cyber jury and judged The FWAs, The NY Festivals, the London International Advertising Awards, the Global Effies, and the Andys. Steve is a member of The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. He attended Emerson College in Boston.

He lives in New York City with his wife Heather and their Boxer, Maggie.
